Strolling Under The Skin - by Dr. Jean-Claude Guimberteau - shows us exactly what the Fascial System looks like in a "live" human being. This video shows us how everything is "connected" through the fascial system.
Once you have received Myofascial Release (MFR), you may find it hard to go back to traditional massage therapy. Traditional massage does not allow the body to re-correct itself as Myofasical Release does. Traditional massage is only temporary in relief of pain, tension, and stress to the body, and can quickly return without long-term relief or complete reversal of initial issues or complaints.
Although, Myofascial Release is what we call 'messy' but it's True Healing. And, True Healing is chaotic, messy, and through it all: Healing Is Feeling.
Our society frowns on the fact that we, as a people, have emotions: men especially. Science has be quietly studying how 'not' allowing our emotions to play out in our lives creates a deep well of dis-function and this leads to further and deeper trauma. If by chance we do choose to allow our feelings to come forth, we're sometimes chided because of them.
Therefore, we, as a whole society, shove down and swallow our emotions--causing further and deeper trauma which can then lead to actual physical disease within the body. Aka: Cancer - the angry disease, etc.
The issue with this is that these acts disconnect our Emotional body from our Physical body. Then our Mental Body splits off from our Emotional and Physical bodies. Our Mind/Body connections splinter and slowly shatter...leaving us empty and not in our bodies.
Myofascial Release allows: a client to finally feel "SOLID and WHOLE" within your skin - and one of the single most beneficial side-effects: Bliss and a Deep Sense of Internal Peace.
I encourage you to have Courage, have Faith, and Allow yourself the opportunity to truly Heal through Myofascial Release.
Myofascial Release is a safe and effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Myofascial Release can be applied to the body as soon as the client has received a trauma of any sort: surgery, accidents, emotional trauma, physical trauma, etc.
Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that are not seen and "Hidden" in many of the standard tests (MRIs, x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)
Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.
