Why Myofascial Release?

Myofascial Release has exploded on the therapeutic scene with an unprecedented impact and is recognized as the most effective form of healthcare therapy.

What is Myofasical Release, and how does it work?

Myofascial Release is a safe and effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Myofascial Release can be applied to the body as soon as the client has received a trama of any sort.  Some tramas (i.e. surgery, severe trama, etc.)

Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)

Tensegrity Structure of the Human Body

Please watch the short video above on how tensgrity is demonstrated and works in arcitechure.

The bars your are seeing in these structures = your bones  Your fascial system is represented by the strings holding it apart and together at the same time.

Now, picture any of the structures being injured or loosing a string - the complexity of the whole structure fails = your body begins to fail and more and more tissues get invovled and the longer you go without treatment - the harder the whole system has to work.

This then can translate into Severe Pain, Loss of Motion, Fibromyalgia symptoms, Exhaustion, and many more physical issues all manifesting from the loss of tensegrity within your body to do any type of trauma: physical, mental, and emotional.

Hands-On Treatment

Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.
